No Bubble. No Peeling. Just Quality.
Professional Protection for Your Ride
At Iconic Auto Styling in Rockville, MD, we specialize in high-end window tint applications that do a lot more than just make your car look cool. We provide a functional upgrade that keeps your vehicle cooler, protects your interior, and gives you the privacy you actually want.
If you drive an SUV or truck and have kids or pets, properly tinting the rear windows isn’t optional, it’s crucial. Factory “tinted” glass is only privacy glass and does little to block heat or glare. Without a quality ceramic film, the back seats can get significantly hotter, especially during peak sun. Upgrading to a 70% or 50% ceramic tint helps reduce heat buildup and creates a much more comfortable (and safer) environment for your passengers.
We are protection specialists, and we take the job seriously. No bubbles, no peeling, and absolutely no purple fade—just a clean, professional finish that performs as good as it looks.

Old, failing window tint can quickly turn from a benefit into an eyesore, especially when it starts peeling, bubbling, or fading into that all-too-common purple. Our professional tint removal service safely strips away old film and adhesive, leaving your glass completely clean with no glue residue, scratches, or leftover mess, and properly prepped for a fresh application or a clear view. Once restored, it’s the perfect time to upgrade.
Many drivers don’t realize you can tint your windshield without making it look dark. Modern ceramic films, especially in lighter shades like 70%, are designed to block a significant amount of heat and glare while remaining virtually clear from both the inside and outside, giving you a much more comfortable driving experience without changing the look of your vehicle.
Chameleon Windshield

If you want to make a bold statement while boosting comfort, chameleon windshield tint is the perfect upgrade. This specialty film subtly shifts color with changing light while providing advanced protection against heat and glare, giving your vehicle a unique look that stands out without sacrificing performance. Every application is tailored for a smooth, seamless fit, ensuring both style and function work together flawlessly.
At the same time, it’s important to understand that factory tinted glass, especially on rear windows, is simply privacy glass and does very little to block heat or glare. That’s where modern ceramic film makes a real difference. Even in lighter shades like 70% or 50%, ceramic tint is engineered to reject a significant amount of infrared heat and harmful UV rays while maintaining clear, natural visibility, helping keep your interior noticeably cooler and far more comfortable, especially for passengers in the back.

Superior Privacy, Style, and UV Protection
Enhance Your Ride with Professional Window Tinting

Keep Prying Eyes Out
There is a peace of mind that comes with knowing people can't easily see into your vehicle. Whether you are carrying expensive equipment for work or just forgot your gym bag in the back seat, window tint adds a layer of security. It keeps your valuables out of sight and reduces the temptation for smash-and-grab theft.
Beyond security, it just feels better to drive with a bit of privacy. It reduces that "fishbowl" effect where you feel like everyone at the traffic light is staring at you. You can relax in your own space.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the tint take to dry?
You can drive your car immediately, but the moisture between the glass and the tint layer needs time to evaporate. This "curing" process usually takes 3 to 5 days, depending on the weather. If it’s cold or cloudy, it might take a bit longer.
Can I roll my windows down right away?
No. Please don't. We recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 days before rolling your windows down. If you roll them down too soon, the tint can shift or peel before the adhesive has fully set.
Is window tint legal in Maryland?
Yes, but there are limits. Maryland law regulates how dark you can go on specific windows. Generally, for sedans, you need to allow 35% of light through the windows. SUVs and trucks have different rules for the rear glass. We are experts on Maryland regulations and will help you choose a shade that keeps you legal while giving you the look you want.
Will the tint interfere with my GPS or radio?
Not with our products. We use ceramic and nano-ceramic materials, which are non-metallic. Old-school metallic tints used to block signals, but our modern options are 100% signal-friendly.
How do I clean my tinted windows?
Wait until the tint is fully cured (about a week). After that, use a soft microfiber towel and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Never use blue Windex or harsh chemicals with ammonia, as they can eat away at the material over time. Mild soapy water works great, too.
Does the tint go on the outside or inside?
The material is applied to the inside of the glass. You might see us shaping it on the outside of the window first. That’s just to heat-shrink it to the curve of the glass before we install it permanently on the interior.
What is Ceramic Tint?
Ceramic tint is a premium window film made with nano-ceramic particles that help block heat, UV rays, and glare. It improves comfort and protects your interior, while maintaining clear visibility and not interfering with signals like GPS or mobile reception.

The Advantages to Window Tint
Window tinting offers more than just aesthetic appeal, it's a practical investment in the safety, comfort, and longevity of your vehicle. Protect your interior, keep your car cooler, and enjoy a more comfortable ride every time you hit the road.
